Is it possible to walk across America...
...while working at your Treadmill Desk?
I'm going to find out! This is a virtual journey. I'm walking on my Treadmill Desk while working in my Boulder Colorado office. Google Earth tracks my progress as I "walk across America" while working at my Treadmill Desk.
My goal is to walk from New York City to Chicago in one year. Then Boulder Colorado in year 2, San Diego in year 3, then...
The map is "LIVE". Double click to center & zoom, drag with your cursor, click the markers, etc. The detail in NYC is amazing!

Good Evening,
I loved your post on the walk across America. I just started to design my treadmill to host my laptop so I can work through the night. I wish I had one of these at work. Good Luck! Looks like your doing great.

Jay, I like your website and think it is really neat to watch your progress as you walk across America. You have inspired me. I read your site on 2/25 and I built my treadmill desk that very same day for under $5.00. I already had the board and just needed some hardware to clamp it on my treadmill. I have logged in about 10 hrs within the last few days. I am able to comfortable do my work, talk on conference calls and even write notes!
Also, I coped your progress worksheet and created a new Excel workbook so I can build my own and track my progress. Thank you for sharing your experience.

This is amazingly cool. I need to mount my stuff and get started. Expressing it in terms of walking across the USA is awesome in terms of inspiration and getting people excited!
